Houston Funplex, Houston
If you’re visiting Houston, your trip can’t be complete without a visit to the Houston Funplex. Texas’ largest indoor entertainment and family fun center, Funplex dates back to the 1980s when it was known as Fame City. The word-class amusement park initially included a wide range of outdoor features such as waterslides and swimming options.
The outdoor features were, however, closed when new management took over in 2014. Today, Houston Funplex features over 200,000 square feet of unrivaled entertainment. It is designed to provide families with a place to have fun without having to worry about the time of year.
Whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring, you and your loved ones can enjoy various exhilarating activities, including:
- Rides – Funplex offers a wide variety of ride-based attractions, which you can enjoy at pocket-friendly prices. These include Ferris Wheel, Lady Bugs, Bumper Cars, VR Rollercoaster, Car Simulator, and Airplanes.
- Go Karts – If you’re looking for some adrenaline-pumping fun, you can’t go wrong with the Funplex Go Karts. They can race at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.
- Arcade Games – The arcade at the amusement park is loaded with both classic and modern games. Some of the games you’ll find in the arcade include Punch Out, Blaster, Discs of Tron, Galaga, Super Mario Brothers, Stompin, and Gauntlet Legends.
- Playport – This is a two-story, indoor play area that offers a clean, safe environment for children to explore while their parents relax. The Playport features a treehouse, a kid’s arcade, sky tubes, a moonwalk, 15 LED TV screens, several slides, a foam pit, and pony rides.
Other outstanding features at the Funplex include a 40-lane Bowling Alley and a Skating Rink. There’s an admission fee for visitors entering the park. You can also take advantage of special offers to save some money.
